What should we do with PVP?

Our server has been updated, with a new map, a better selection of plugins, and more!

As the title says, we’ve finally overhauled the server, and I must say it is a lot more fun!

You’ll find yourself in a limited world (currently 5000×5000, we can expand in future if needed!). You will also be able to make your own protection for chests and homes, by placing a chest. It’s pretty self explanatory. You also need to use a golden shovel to modify protected areas.

For now, only the survival map is included because we need to figure out some stuff for creative mode etc. Permissions have changed for all groups, so please use /help to look at the new commands (this works now!)

There may be reconfiguration over the coming few days, but for now everything is much cleaner and better set up. We will be deciding on some new features for VIP etc because a lot of the old features were considered too overpowered now that PVP is turned on.

We are dedicated to giving you a very fun Minecraft experience, and I believe that the changes made give the server a solid feel and direction, keeping everyone interested for longer!

I will also be revamping the website at some point, but probably after I come back from holiday on the 5th May.

Our anniversary!

It’s true, our anniversary will be coming soon! the 24th of march to be exact. Many events will be organized and happen that day. But I need ideas of what to do! Current plans include, but are not limited to:

Free diamond for everyone who logs in on March 24
Free diamond for you, if you make someone new come to the server on that day.
A build contest. A special prize for the winner.
A public spleef match. Prize yet to be decided.
I will be on for as long as possible, I will record most of it, and make a compilation of it.

So if you have anymore ideas, please post them in the comments! or tell them to me in-game.

Recent Downtime

Hi Folks

I want to apologise for the recent down time – there has been a lot of it, generally the server is crashing and not recovering itself which means until an admin finds out, it doesn’t get put back online.

I have traced the issue to some faulty hardware and as soon as possible I will be modifying some settings to boost voltage and hopefully that will resolve things.

URGENT: Do not update your client if you wish to connect

The server has been updated to 1.1

As the title says, really. We don’t have a build for our server to support 1.1 yet – please don’t update if you plan on playing on the server for the short term. As soon as you see a “client outdated” error when trying to join, that means you need to update!

Server going offline

The Server will be going offline for some maintenance at 10:00 GMT Tuesday 3/01/12, for conversions just Google it, for some much overdue maintenance.
It will probably take 5-10 minutes in total.

EDIT: My main pc broke down (yay). And our internet is gone. So I’will award the diamonds asap, but I really don’t have the time to do it.

While the prize is not that spectacular, (32 diamonds) the contest will make it all worth it!
